Glue Performance

3pm – 4pm Glue Performance by Louise Wallwein (Suitable for over 16s)

Glue

Written and performed by Louise Wallwein

Directed by Susan Roberts

Music and Sound Jaydev Mistry

A one-woman show mixing monologue, live art and a sound score.

Glue tells the true story of Louise Wallwein and her first two meetings with her birth mother, three decades after being put up for adoption. The audience is invited to share a very private first reunion, but also the subsequent more public second meeting

‘There I was, tipped to be one to watch after doing a show on the wings of an aeroplane a year earlier. 1999, my life was moving in the right direction – a career, a new home and a new girlfriend…’

Louise also grew up in care from the age of nine and shows both her fierce independence and emotional vulnerability alongside each other. Born, transferred, placed, discharged returned…

4:15pm – 5:15pm ‘Writing Your Truth’ Post Glue Performance Workshop

The workshop will allow the audience of Glue to reflect on the themes of the show and kickstart some dramatic monologues of your own. Suitable for all abilities. Louise is a skilled facilitator. It will be fun, interactive and more importantly inspiring. Louise encourages women with care experience to attend this workshop.

You can pose a question for Louise  when you book your place at this event
